19 Objective of the Course: To learn basic demographic information and concepts such as population growth and structure at a basic level.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development With this course, students learn the basic concepts of demography and gain practical skills. In addition, they gain scientific basis and skills related to population theories and population policies.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Will be able to define the basic concepts of demography.;
2 Will be able to explain population theories, processes, structure and characteristics.;
3 Will be able to explain the concepts of migration and productivity.;
4 Will be able to recognize demographic information sources.;
5 Will be able to define, explain and interpret basic demographic concepts.;
6 Will be able to explain issues such as population growth, settlement types, population structure, population density and censuses with examples.;
7 Will be able to interpret the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of the population and the cultural, economic, social and ethnic characteristics of the population by giving examples.;
8 Students will understand and learn the geographical distribution and regional demographic characteristics of the population on the basis of continents, regions and countries.;
9 Will be able to explain Turkey's basic population characteristics, population problems and the demographic structure of our country with examples.;
