19 Objective of the Course: Political theology can be defined as a research field that deals with the relationship between religion and politics - regardless and independent from the researcher's religious affiliations, belonging and even consciously adopted religious or anti-religion positions - which has a rich interdisciplinary potential as it uses the conceptual content from different fields of enquiry, research and intellectual attitudes. The main aim of this two-semester course is to illuminate the historical roots of political theology. As a continuation of Political Theology I, this course aims to examine political theology as a set of problems in the light of contemporary philosophers.
