19 Objective of the Course: The aim of this course is to gain knowledge about the symptoms of schizophrenia, the pathologies observed in the brain, and the pharmacological approaches required for the treatment of the disease.

1 Understanding the main symptoms of schizophrenia;
2 To understand the basic neuroanatomical pathways and neurotransmitter systems observed in the brain in schizophrenia;
3 To comprehend experimental animal models used to study schizophrenia.;
4 To have knowledge about the basic properties of drugs used in the treatment of the schizophrenia disease.;
