19 Objective of the Course: This course is aimed to provide the student to comprehend the immunological mechanisms involved in the process of inflammation, benefits of inflammatory responses and the roles of an excessive inflammatory response for the pathogenesis of various diseases.

1 To comprehend the immunological mechanisms involved in the process of inflammation;
2 To gain some basic immunological information about how inflammation functions as an innate immune defense mechanism;
3 To acquire knowledge about the benefits associated with the inflammatory response;
4 To comprehend how an excessive inflammatory response can be harmful to the body;
