19 Objective of the Course: With this course, creation of local and wide area networks, the recognition and effective use of equipment that can be used on the network, problems with removal and orientation is to acquaint the relevant skills.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development To establish, understand and analyze networks that serve the end user.

1 Will be able to know how networks work, and use the networking devices and use network protocols.;
2 Knows the concepts LAn, MAN and WAN.;
3 Describes networking devices.;
4 Knows adressing.;
5 Knows the concepts FTP, e-mail, SMTP and DNS.;
6 Will be able to describe the various cables and networking devices.;
7 Knows the cables used in networks.;
8 Chooses the suitable cable for the network.;
9 Chooses the suitable cable for the network.;
10 Knows the routers and connect them to a network.;
22 Course Content:
Week Theoretical Practical
1 Introduction to computer networks and terminology Examination of network structures in laboratory environment
2 Signals and modulation Examining in detail with examples of copper cable types
3 Serial and paralel communication, handshaking Cross cable type application
4 Communication methods: cables and wireless Straight connection type application
5 Cable categories, twisted pairs, coaxial and fiber optic cables Example of connecting two computers without network card only by cable
6 Computer network topologies The students try out the cable tying end fastening applications
7 Repeating courses and midterm exam Examining examples of indoor and outdoor wired connections
8 Connection types: LAN - LAN, LAN-MAN, computer-Internet Example of connecting computers including a network card
9 Evolution of computer networks Making a wireless connection
10 Network Protocols, OSI protocol stack Testing the performance of the wireless connection
11 OSI Layers 1,2 and 3 Viewing and controlling computers on the network with intermediary applications.
12 OSI Layers 4, 5, 6, 7 Application to access other computers on the network
13 Web technologies Printer sharing application
14 Wireless Communication Technologies Evaluation of all applications, final examinations in the networked environment.
