19 Objective of the Course: To gain information and skill over ostrich breeding, handling, management, incubation, feeding, diseases, and products obtained by ostrich and ostrich businesses issues.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development Learning about ostrich breeding contributes to its development by applying this knowledge in the professional field.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Will have information about the status of ostrich farming in Turkey and around the world.;
2 Knows morphological, physiological and behavioral characteristics of ostriches (Struthio camelus).;
3 Knows care, feeding and management issues in ostrich farming.;
4 Knows reproduction in ostriches, factors affecting egg production, and hatchery management.;
5 Knows features, evaluation, and marketing of ostrich products (meat, leather, feather), and the status of production and consumption.;
6 Knows ostrich diseases and the ways to avoid from them.;
7 Knows that the digestive systems of ostriches.;
8 To obtain information on feeding and nutrition of ostriches.;
9 Knows nutritional diseases of ostriches.;

5 Ostrich breeding systems and maintenance - management practices.
6 General characteristics of ostrich enterprises, shelter, and equipment used.
7 Production and marketing of ostrich products (meat, leather, feather)
8 Transport and leather processing in ostriches
9 Ostrich diseases, protection and control applications.
10 Digestive system of the ostriches.
11 Ostrich feeds.
12 The preparation of rations for ostriches.
13 Feeding and nutrition of ostriches.
14 Nutritional disorders in ostriches.
