19 Objective of the Course: In this course, which is planned based on the idea that philosophical ideas are at the heart of sociology, students learn the policy-based philosophical ideas that emerged in the ancient world on the basis of the sociological evaluation offered to us by contemporary sociology. According to this plan, the sym program, which begins with the Defense of Socrates, continues with the examination of Plato's State for two or three weeks. Aristotle's Politics is then evaluated as the basis of political sociology. With the study of stoics, the transition of the concepts of nature, universality and equality to the forefront in politics is evaluated. Then, the course is completed with Cicero, Roman Political Thought, Augustinus and the influence of Christianity in the political field, Thomas Aquinas and late Medieval Political Thought, respectively.
