19 Objective of the Course: The purposes of this course are; to recognize community service programs; to determine current problems of community; to prepare projects for solving those problems; to attend science activities like panel, conference, congress, symposium as viewer, speaker and editor; and to attend different projects as voluntary in meaning of social responsibility.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development It enriches the lives of its students in these matters by developing sensitivity towards the needs of the society. It cooperates with relevant persons, institutions, organizations and colleagues in education and training activities.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Understands the importance of community service;
2 Discusses the problems of society;
3 Informs people who are non experts on social problems in this regard;
4 Identifies current problems of society and prepare universal projects;
5 To take part being volunteers in community service activities to develop positive attitudes;
6 Communicates effectively while carrying out projects both with in the project and outside of the project;
7 Participates panel discussions, conferences, congresses, and scientific activities as speakers, or regulator.;
8 Relates school and social environment;
22 Course Content:

1 Introduction to the course content, Review of concepts about community and society Examination of the sample project files completed last year
2 Importance of community services practices Group discussions on a possible project topics
3 Identifying and discussing current problems of society based on the scope of this course Group discussions on a possible project topics
4 Preparation of new projects to produce solutions to current problems of society Cooperative work with organizations to work together; correspondence and planning
5 Current community service applications: Community service practices of public institutions and civil society organizations Students take part of a social project based on their knowledge and skills.
6 Community service practices in our city Examination of a non-governmental organization
7 Importance of attending various scientific activities such as panel, conference, sempozyum as being a presenter or an observer Attending an activity like a conference, panel, seminer or symposium.
8 Participation of various projects voluntary within the framework of social responsibility, Taking part in a social project using students' knowledge and skills
9 Acquisition of basic knowledge and skills based on the implementation of community service activities in schools Discussion of previous project samples on this subject
10 Students will take part in a social project in order to use their knowledge in this area. Editing and evaluation of panel, panel discussions, seminars and so on.
