19	Objective of the Course:	To provide students with a basic level of knowledge on the concepts of city and urbanization and to enable them to analyze the urban structure from different perspectives.
20	Contribution of the Course to Professional Development

Learning Outcomes:

1	To gain knowledge on the process of urbanization. ;
2	To have an idea about the development process of urban areas and their main structural features. ;
3	To be able to follow and evaluate the latest developments in the area of urban economy. ;
4	To learn the basic theoretical approaches that analyze the urban structure. ;
5	To gain knowledge on the growth process of urban areas;
6	To be able to analyze the concepts of inner-city settlement and rent. ;
7	To be capable of identify the disparities between urban growth and housing problem as well as their possible causes.;
8	To be able to evaluate the effectiveness of policies produced as a solution to the problems regarding the pricing of congested roads as well as to evaluate the sustainability of cities. ;
