19 Objective of the Course: The aim of the lesson is to inform students about the formation and development of social problems, and to introduce solutions to social problems. Inform students, development of social policy in a historical perspective and to make awareness of recent changing conditions to analyze the emergence of new talents to new social problems, in Turkey and in the world.

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To be able to understands and analyze Historical processes that led to the development of social policy ;
2 To be able to know principles involved in the emergence of capitalism and socialism as the economic systems.;
3 To be able to debate and analyze contemporary social issues use historical information and evidence. ;
4 To be able to recognize social problems use social policy instruments;
5 To be able to know social policy precaution against the rapid socio-economic changes;
6 To be able to know the impact of globalization on social policy achievements.;

1 Definition, scope and targets of social policy.
2 Historical process of social policy.
3 Socio - economic conditions of the pre-capitalist period.
4 Social classes and the rulers of the feudal age.
5 Trade and expanse to the world of Western Europe
6 The Birth of the bourgeois class and the rice of political power
7 The French Revolution and Nation-State, State of Law, Democracy and its implications for Secular State. (EXAM)
8 Results of the French Revolution, Political Liberalism, permanent revolution, Jacobinism, and Conservatism.
9 Industrial Revolution
10 The results of the Industrial Revolution, the liberal industrial capitalism and poverty of the working class.
11 Sosyal protesto ve muhalefet hareketleri Socialist movements in order to fight against poverty - Socialism.
12 The solution of Western Europe: The Social Liberal Synthesis.
13 Keynesian consensus and the Interventionist Capitalism.
