19 Objective of the Course: The urbanization process which continues to date from the Neolithic period in Anatolia will be discussed. The effects of environmental factors to the models of urbanization in different ages and in different regions will be highlighted with examples.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To improve the knowledge about the urban theories and practicing to the Anatolian cities;
2 To be able to evaluate the transformation caused by enlightenment from old to new, metaphysics to physics;
3 To gain the ability to reach to primary and secondary sources related the Anatolian urban history;
4 Be able to understand the founding principles that guiding the development process of the conservation and sustentation of the historical textures;
5 To gain the ability to classify the Anatolian cities in the Neolithic period according to the settlement patterns;
6 Be able to define the structural characteristics that gained by the Turks to the Anatolian architecture;
7 Be able to comprehend the causes of changes in Anatolian cities during the history;
8 To gain the ability to compare the structural characteristics of the cities in other contemporary civilizations;
9 Be able to define architects and urban planners of the ancient age;
