19 Objective of the Course: To inform students about the political developments in the Modern Era of the Ottoman Period. Develop the ability to interpret events

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To be able to grasp the change of Ottoman-European political relations.;
2 To be able to grasp the sources of mentioned period. ;
3 To gain the ability to examine of real causes of wars and behind the scenes;
4 To gain evaluation of the ability political agreements;
5 To be able to evaluate actual policies of the Ottoman Empire in the face of European states;
6 To comprehend the targets of European states against the Ottoman Empire;
7 To evaluate the attitude of rebellion against the Ottoman Empire;
8 To analyze the politics pursued by European states and Russia in the face of rebellion;

1 Introduction of the course and general situation of the Ottoman Empire the Early Modern Era
2 Ottoman-Russia, Austria wars from 1787 to 1791,1792 and Alliance Agreements
3 Zistovi and Yas Agreements and to evaluate the results of the wars
4 Ottoman-French War 1798-1802, Ottoman-Russia Treaty of Alliance
5 Ottoman-French War 1798-1802, Ottoman-Russia Treaty of Alliance
6 The Ottoman-Russian, Ottoman-British Wars 1806 to 1809
7 Kal'a Sultanas and Bukres Agreements
8 Internal rebellions in the Ottoman State
9 1828-1829 Ottoman-Russian War and the Treaty of Edirne
10 Mehmet Ali Pasha Rebellion and Matter of Egypt
11 The second circuit of the Egyptian Question the British and French trade agreements, the London Straits Agreement
12 Issues of holy places and the Hungarian refugees, Crimean War and the Treaty of Paris
