19 Objective of the Course: Speciality Areas of Biochemistry focus on the pregnancy and fetal development, laboratory investigations of pediatric patients, geriatric clinical chemistry, body fluid analysis (cerebrospinal fluid, pleural fluid, peritoneal fluid, synovial fluid, pericardial fluid, sweat) and specimen collection.

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To knowing normal pregnancy and fetal development and the presence of pathological conditions ;
2 To knowing significant biochemical differences between normal adults and pediatric and geriatric period;
3 To describe normal findings of CSF, pleural fluid and peritonela fluid;
4 To explain exudate, transudate, abnormal findings of CSF and other biological fluids;
5 To describe principles of the specimen collection;
