19 Objective of the Course: To understand the political events in the Ottoman history within the cause and effect relationship

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 The ability to understand the emergence and development of the Ottoman Beylik;
2 The ability to understand the processof transition from the Ottoman principality to the Ottoman Empire;
3 The ability to comprehend the different approaches to the emergence of the Ottoman Empire and the political environment that anabled the Ottoman to rise;
4 The ability to understand the political development of the Ottoman Empire, the policy of expansion in Anatolia and Balkans, the politics of conquest and settlement.;
5 The ability to comprehend the relationship between Ottoman and other states and to understand the political struggles;
6 The ability to evaluate the process of the collapse of the Ottoman after the treaty of Küçük Kaynarca;
7 The ability to comprehend the political events led the Ottoman State to the weakness within the framework of the Ottoman-European relations;
8 The ability to understand how the Ottoman was influenced by French revolution;
9 The ability to comprehend the political situation of the Ottoman Empire befoe the first World War;
10 The ability to understand reform movements and the place of the Ottoman Empire in the world politics;
