The aim of this course is to examine scientific research process (identifying a problem, data collection, data analysis and interpretation of results), to review major scientific research methods (experimental method, descriptive method et al.), and to provide students with knowledge of techniques such as finding right research question, hypothesis formation, conceptualization, assessment, data collection, data analysis, data evaluation / interpretation and report writing. In the course, the concept of ethics and ethical theory, research ethics and publication ethics, unethical behavior will be highlighted. The other aim of the course is to provide students with knowledge and awareness of the most common violations of research and publication ethics and their prevention methods, and what should be done if ethical violations identified in scientific publications.
