Objective of the Course:
Lower respiratory tract infections is the diseases that of most frequently encountered in daily life. Lower respiratory tract infections also are pioneer infectious diseases that cause loss of active day from work and school. Lower respiratory tract infections are mainly acute bronchitis, chronic bronchitis and acute bacterial exacerbations of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease , community and hospital acquired pneumonia , pneumonia in immune supressed patients with pneumonia lung abscess, empyema, tuberculosis and bronciheactasis. Today, HIV infection and lung complications created by this diseases are important respiratory problems for physicians in daily practice. At the end of this training common lower respiratory tract infections in adults and children ,their symptoms, clinical diagnosis and treatment will be covered by lecturers. The aim of these lessons to transer the basic information to students about the definition, epidemiology and symptomatology of lower respiratory tract infections. Intended to provide information which diagnostic tests, treatment methods and prevention will be used in diagnose and treatment of LRT infections.
