19 Objective of the Course: Essential parts of the ship, directions, learn the types of ships and ship's personnel.

1 Will be able to define parts of the ship in english language.;
2 Will be able to use shipping terms in english language.;
3 Will be able to describe the methods of cargo handling in english language.;
4 Will be able to define the structures of the port in english language.;
5 Will be able to speak VHF communications in english language.;
6 Will be able to define lights, sıgns and buoys in english language.;
7 Will be able to define basic terms related to cargo and cargo areas in english language.;

1 Ship concept, types and parts of the ship
2 Simple hold plan, draft and sections
3 The structure and terms of a modern the port
4 Loading, unloading, and cargo handling.
5 Leaving the harbor and preparations.
6 Ship presentation, and VHF radio conversations based on position.
7 Some of the instruments and equipment used in the bridge.
8 REVIEW and MIDTERM EXAM
9 Engine room, and sections.
10 Signs, lights and buoys.
11 Passing narrow channels.
12 Some basic VHF call messages.
13 Some basic VHF call messages.
