19 Objective of the Course: The aim of the course is to give information about morphology and functions of the digestive system. Target, the student learn the general function of the digestive system.

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To be able to describe the digestive tract morphology ;
2 To be able to describe carnivors, omnivores and herbivors ;
3 To be able to explain mastication, swallowing, saliva production ;
4 To be able to explain regulation of gastric glands and gastric secretion ;
5 To be able to describe mechanical events of gastric digestion ;
6 To be able to explain digestion in the intestines. ;
7 To be able to describe the pancreas, bile and intestinal secretions ;
8 To be able to explain absorption physiology ;

1 Morphology of the digestive tract
2 Regulation of requesting food
3 Taken nutrients in mouth, mastication
4 Functions of saliva and swallowing
5 Gastric glands, gastric secretion
6 Mechanical events of gastric digestion
7 Filling and emptying of the stomach, vomiting
8 Digestion in the small intestine and bowel movements
9 Pancreatic secretion
10 Production and secretion of bile

12 Absorption physiology
13 Absorption physiology
14 Some pathophysiological conditions of digestion
