19 Objective of the Course: To teach basic anatomical therminology, morphological features of domestic mammals and birds comperatively.To prepare a basis for lessons to be taugth in the following years and in professions.

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 The basic anatomical therminology of veterinary medicine;
2 The basic concepts of systematical anatomy;
3 The domestic animal species in veterinary anatomy and their places in zoological system.;
4 Basic features of locomotor system of the domestic mammals ( horse, cattle, sheep, goat, pig, dog, cat and etc.) and constant anatomical similarities and differences between them;
5 Comperative and systematically anatomy of domestic birds;
6 Identification of species from bones and muscles by taking note of above;
22 Course Content:
Week Theoretical Practical
1 Introduction to anatomy and general terminology and chondrology Description of the anatomical directions on skeletons and models
2 Introduction to osteology and cranium. Examination of the cartilage samples, skeleton parts and cranium.
3 Head skeleton- Cranium Examination of the head bones – cranium
4 Head skeleton- Facies Examination of the head bones – facies
5 Vertebral Column, ribs and sternum Examination of the vertebral column,ribs and sternum
6 Bones of the thoracic limb Examination of the bones of thoracic limb
7 Bones of the pelvic limb Examination of the bones of pelvic limb
8 Introduction to syndesmology. Articulations and ligaments of cranium, hyoid bone and vertebral column Dissection and examination of articulations and ligaments of cranium, hyoid bone and vertebral column
9 Articulations and ligaments of the thoracic and pelvic limb Dissection and examination of articulations and ligaments of the thoracic and pelvic limb
10 Introduction to muscular system, accessory structures associated with muscles, cutaneus musculature and muscles of the head Dissection of the cutaneus musculature and head muscles
11 Muscles of the thoracic limb Dissection of the trunk and thoracic limb
12 Muscles of the pelvic limb Dissection of the pelvic limb
13 Osteology and arthrology of the domestic birds Examination of the skeleton of the domestic birds and dissection of ligaments of the domestic birds.
14 Myology of the domestic birds Dissection of muscles of the domestic birds.
