Learning Outcomes:

1 Students gain an understanding of basic points of Turkish legal history at different ages.; 2 Students have an idea on the law and legal institutions of Turkish states before Islam.; 3 Students have a general conception of Islamic Law.; 4 They learn Turkish States’ practise of Islamic Law; 5 They have a detailed knowledge on Ottoman Law.; 6 They can evaluate the process of modernisation of Turkish Law.;
