19 Objective of the Course: The main aim of this course is to teach the nature of economic planning and economic planning in Turkey.

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Students will be able to learn the nature of economic planning and its significance to addressing the failure of the market to adequately allocate resources;
2 Students will be able to have insights into the rationale for economic planning, the processes involved and its implementation;
3 Students will be able to learn origin and type of planning;
4 Students will be able to learn planning experiences in Turkey;
5 Students will be able to learn input-output analysis;
6 Students will be able to learn the analysis of input output relations for economic planning;
7 Students will be able to learn structural factors in the macro economic planning;
8 Students will be able to learn the features of underdeveloped countries and the need for planning;
9 Students will be able to learn to conduct strategic planning at the level of the firm, industry and national economic development;
10 Students will be able to learn economic planning in countries (China, Soviet Russia);
