19 Objective of the Course: In this lesson it is aimed to teach diagnosis and effective treatment of neurological disorders presenting in ruminants and horses , provide information about precautions to be taken regarding these diseases.

1 To be learned neurologic examination of ruminants and horses;
2 To be learned laboratory examination of animals showing neurologic signs;
3 To be learned agreeable and correct treatment plan for neurological diseases;
4 To be learned the principles of protection of neurological diseases;
5 To be learned the principles of effective treatment of neurological diseases;

1 General clinical examination of Central Nervous System (CNS) in Large Animals
2 General Laboratory examination of CNS; Taking and cytologic – Biochemical examination of Cerebro spinal Fluid (CSF), evaluation of metabolic profile
3 General Approach to diseases of CNS in Large animals
4 Diseases of CNS caused by Virus; Meadi-Visna, Caprine Arthritis Encephalitis, Border disease, Herpes Myeloencephalopathy of Horses
5 Diseases of CNS caused by Virus -2; Pseudorabies, Alphavirus and Flavivirüs encephalitis of horses, Borna disease, encephalomyelitis of sheep,
6 Diseases of CNS caused by Virus -3 ; IBR, BSE, Scrapie, SBE, Rabies
7 CNS Diseases Caused by Bacteria – 1 ; Listeriosis, thromboembolic meningoencephalitis
8 CNS Diseases Caused by Bacteria – 2 ; Mycotic Encephalitis, pituitary abscesses, Brain Abscesses
9 CNS Diseases Caused by Bacteria -3; Botulismus, Tetenus , Tuberculosis
