19 Objective of the Course: To let students have deep knowledge in sources of Ottoman History.

1 The ability to discuss the content of the terms of source and trace.;
2 The ability to comprehend the types of sources.;
3 The ability to give examples about the natures and language of the Ottoman chronicles, and to make use of them.;
4 The ability to comprehend secondary sources. ;
5 The ability to use non-historical written sources as historical documents.;
6 The ability to make use of Ottoman archival materials.;
7 The ability to use monuments as historical evidences.;
8 The ability to comprehend the possibility of using a natural object (such as science of tree) as historical evidence.;
9 The ability to comprehend human geography as historical evidence.;
10 The ability to give examples that literary works such as poem can be source for history.;
