19 Objective of the Course: To acquire general information about the cultivation of garden plants, to be able to know garden plants grown in the world and Turkey, to learn the ecological requirements, multiplication and breeding of important garden plants for our country.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development To have a preliminary idea about the subjects to be educated with this course, which is a short summary of the departmental courses.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Can recognize Horticultural crops and knows their importance;
2 Learn ecological factors desired for growing of horticultural crops and recognize horticultural crops according to agricultural regions;
3 Learn biological and physiological basses ;
4 Receive information about general production techniques and learn how to propagate fruit and vegetable species ;
5 Learn cultural practices applied during production and application of cultural practices during various developmental stages;
6 Make decision when and how to harvest;
7 Receive information about post harvest storage methods and their applicability to various horticultural crops.;

11 Combat and chemical applications in horticultural plants.
12 Flowering, pollination and fertilization in fruit trees.
