19 Objective of the Course: To learn the important flowering indoor (pot plants) ornamental plants (Saintpaulia, Begonia, Cyclamen, Spathiphyllum, Kalanchoe, Impatiens, Anthurium, Aechmea, Abutilon, Primula, Calceolaria, Hibiscus etc.) and to learn their ecological requirements, propagation and growing techniques, care rules and the principles of interior design using pot plants
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development Learn the propagation methods of indoor ornamental plants used in parks and gardens.

1 Explain the indoor plants For the beauty of the flowers of plants grown indoors;
2 Explain the general care rules of flowering indoor plants;
3 Explain the propagation and growing techniques for flowering indoor plants;
4 Explain the physiological disorders of flowering indoor plants;
5 Interpret the management of diseases and pests of flowering indoor plants;
6 Explain repotting and the growing media of flowering indoor plants;
7 Explain the growing requirements, propagation techniques and care rules for some important flowering indoor plants;
8 Interpret the design of plants and the principles of using them indoors;

1 Studies of designing spaces using plants, Importance of pot plants for interior decoration, Concept and design of indoor plants, Principles of interior design using pot plants
2 Ecological requirements for indoor plants, Growing media of indoor plants
3 Factors affecting the growth of indoor plants-repotting, irrigation, fertilization, ventilation and etc.
4 Physiological disorders, diseases and pests of indoor plants
5 Propagation methods for indoor plants, sexual propagation methods, asexual propagation methods - cutting propagation
6 Propagation methods for flowering indoor plants, asexual propagation methods- grafting, layering and other propagation methods
7 Growing requirements, propagation techniques and care rules for important flowering indoor plants (Abutilon,Calceolaria,Azalea)
