19 | Objective of the Course: | To introduce students to Film Studies, drawing on some of the standard critical models usually employed: semiotics, genre studies, criticism methos, used for cinema, psychoanalysis, star theory, and adaptation studies. CourseObjectives: To teach students how to ‘read’ a film; To give students an historical appreciation of classic cinema; To encourage students to critically review contemporary film . |
