19 Objective of the Course: To give basic knowledge about the horse species and to teach basic principles on horse husbandry and the using areas of horse
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development Learns horse breeding and management.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 knows the general situation of horse production in Turkey and in the World and the using fields;
2 knows the basic characteristics of horses and to know main horse breeds;
3 knows morphological and physiological characters of horse breeds;
4 knows selection, age determination, breed and parents determination;
5 to have basic knowledge and skill on reproduction management of horses;
6 To have basic knowledge on feeding, housing and care of horses;
7 To have basic knowledge on horsemanship;
8 To have basic knowledge on therapy with horse;

1 Using fields of horses by man, situation of horse production in Turkey and in the world
2 Presentation of teaching programme of the course,origin and zoological classification of horses, general characteristics of horses
3 Main horse breeds
4 Reproduction in Horse
5 Conformation of horses
6 The principles of feeding in horses
7 The principles of housing in horses
8 repeating courses and midterm exam
9 Hair color of horses, gaits of horses
10 behaviors in horses
11 Horsemanship (equipments, horse care and training)
12 horse races, therapy with horse
13 Excursion -stud farm of TJK Karacabey-Bursa
