19 Objective of the Course: The aim of this course is to raise awareness in students about dangerous goods that are frequently transported in air transport, to give basic information about dangerous goods and to inform students about procedures related to matters such as transportation, storage and loading of dangerous goods.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development Upon successful completion of this course, students will have information about dangerous substances and various procedures related to these substances.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 The student learns the basic theoretical concepts related to the course.;
2 Students can distinguish the categories of dangerous goods that are allowed to be transported by air.;
3 In this course, students learn various procedures related to hazardous materials.;
4 Students will have information about what to do in case of an emergency related to hazardous materials.;
5 Students will have information about how to use the knowledge they have learned in this course in business life.;

3 Definition of Dangerous Goods, General philosophy of dangerous goods, Basis of rules, Shipper and carrier responsibilities
4 Training requirements and safety of hazardous materials
5 Dangerous goods limits, Dangerous goods prohibited to be transported by air, Hidden dangerous goods, Dangerous goods allowed to be transported with passengers and crew
6 Dangerous goods that can be transported by mail Dangerous goods in the possession of the carrier.
7 Hazardous substance classification and general principles
8 Visa exam, classification of dangerous goods and general principles
9 Identification of dangerous goods and use of lists, marking rules of dangerous goods packages.
10 Application of risk and handling labels of Dangerous Goods packages
11 Storage and loading rules of Dangerous Goods
12 Special cargo loading and storage rules and requirements,
13 Informing the captain about Special Cargo and special provisions, Emergency Procedures for Dangerous Goods
14 Handling examples of dangerous goods in the context of load control and balance
