19 Objective of the Course: The aim of this course is to give pre-service teachers information about renewable energy concept and resources, to explain the nature of these resources and the methods of using these resources.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development Creates and develops the knowledge base of the prospective teacher. It ensures that the teacher candidate is sensitive to the events / developments in the agenda of the society and the world and follows these developments. Have sufficient awareness of environmental and energy problems
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Knows the concept of renewable energy and evaluates renewable energy sources.;
2 Interprets how renewable energy sources provide energy.;
3 Interprets for what purposes renewable energy sources can be used.;
4 Compares the advantages and disadvantages of renewable energy sources.;
5 Compares the situation with regard to use of renewable energy sources in Turkey and other countries.;

3 Sustainability concept, Sustainable Development and Renewable Energy
4 Solar energy, fusion, solar energy in the world and Turkey, Utilization of Solar Energy Technology, Application examples.
5 Wind energy, usage of wind energy, wind energy potential in Turkey
6 Hydropower, hydraulic power plants, hydro energy potential in Turkey
7 Geothermal energy, electricity production from geothermal energy uses, Turkey's geothermal energy potential.
8 Biomass energy, energy production from biomass, the biomass energy potential in Turkey.
9 Biomass energy, energy production from biomass, the biomass energy potential in Turkey.
10 Biogas energy
11 Biodiesel and bioethanol energy
