19 Objective of the Course: The aim of this course is to enable students to learn the concept of disease in plants, to understand all the factors that cause disease, to learn the causes of plant and pathogen-induced changes in disease formation, to analyze the place and functions of disease factors in the ecosystem, to make macroscopic and microscopic evaluation, to make comparison of the main methods which can fight against microorganisms causing diseases in plants.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development Learns living and non-living disease factors that cause disease in plants and methods of combating them.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To be able to comprehend the structural and biochemical reactions in plant resistance against harmful microorganisms;
2 To be able to evaluate the status of plant diseases in ecological system;
3 To compare and analyze the basic concepts of disease control in phytopathology;
4 To comprehend the general information in phytopathology;
5 To understand the economic importance of diseases in plant production;
6 To be able to identify the nonliving and living elements that cause the diseases and to categorize them;
