19 Objective of the Course: • To present equipments and methods to be used in application of obstetrics and gynecology in the field • To ensure that veterinarians are adequately mastered on obstetrics and gynecology related issues • To create anatomo-physiological and clinical infrastructure for courses such as obstetrics and gynecology, reproductioni bio technology, mammary gland diseases that the students will take later
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development To present methods and equipment of obstetrics and gynecology interventions in field. To give necessary knowledge about obstetrics. To contribute anatomophysiological and clinical knowledge for future courses
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Sudents will develop basic knowledge of physiology and functions of the genital organs and they learn socioeconomic importance of reproduction;
2 To provide students with the knowledge and skills about the physiology and problems of sexual cycle and sexual behaviors;
3 To gain the ability and knowledge about mating, artificial insemination and birth ;
4 acquire ability to diagnose pregnancy, know pregnancy period and physiology of obstetrics;
5 They know how to approach to the problems and the methot of pregnancy;
6 Aims at equipping candidates with the ability to deal with dystocia and normal birth;
7 They gain the basic knowledge of udder structure and phsiology of lactation and They learn the infectious and non-infectious diseases of udder skin and mammary gland and they can do the treatment;
8 1.16 Handle and restrain animal patients safely and with respect of the animal, and instruct others in helping the veterinarian perform these techniques ;
9 2.5 The aetiology, pathogenesis, clinical signs, diagnosis and treatment of the common diseases and disorders that occur in the common animal species*. ;
10 1.17 Perform a complete clinical examination and demonstrate ability in clinical decisionmaking. ;

3 Control of fertility by using hormones in animals
4 Physiology of pregnancy, embriyology, and endocrinology and placentation in animals
5 Pregnancy detection in animals
6 Pathologies of pregnancy in animals
7 Physiology of parturition, Eutocia, and development of fetus
8 Dystocia and factors effecting dystocia
9 Birth asistance and equipments used for assistance during parturition
10 Maternal and neonatal care
11 Anatomy of udders, Importance of udder disease
12 Examination of udders, Diseases of udder skin
13 General aproach to diseases of mammary gland
14 Travma of mammary gland, Milk flow disorders, Surgeries of mammary gland
