19 Objective of the Course: To learn about the basic principles of pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of drugs.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development Be able to comment on the changes of drug effect that may occur depending on the their pharmacocinetic and pharmacodynamic properties.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Knowing the pharmacokintetics properties of drugs .;
2 Knowlede about the mechanism of drug action.;
3 Be able to comment on the receptor and postreceptor events.;
4 Be able to comment on the changes of drug effect that may occur depending on the their pharmacokinetic properties.;
5 Be able to comment on the changes of drug effect that may occur depending on the their pharmacodynamic properties.;
6 Interpretation of the plasma concentration-time curves of drugs;
7 Kowing the dose-effects relationship of drugs and interpret the graphs showing this relationship.;
8 In the case of drug action is different than expected, make a comment about the factors that caused it.;
9 Able to perform basic pharmacokinetic calculations.;

1 Definitaions and introduction to pharmacokinetic: Drug absorbtion.
2 Routes of drug administration and pharmacokinetic properties associated in these routes.
3 Distribition of drugs.
4 Metabolism of drugs.
5 Elimination of drugs.
6 Receptor concept and mechanism of drug effect.
7 Plasma consentration-time curves of drugs.
8 Relationship between the dose and drug effect.
9 Pharmacokinetic drug interactions.
10 Pharmacodynamic drug interactions.
11 Factors that alter the drug effect.
12 Advers drug effects.
13 Clinical drug research.
14 Basic pharmacokinetic calculatoins.
