Objective of the Course:
This course aims to examine and analyze characteristics of health services, public policies for the supply of health services, the financing of public health services and the structural transformation of the health care economy and institutions in the world and in Turkey.

Contribution of the Course to Professional Development
It contributes to the students who will become expertsin field of Public Finance to use basic conceptual and theoretical knowledge about health economics and public policies, to evaluate and interpret the institutions and structural transformations of Health Economics in the world and in Turkey.

Comprehending the basic features of health services;

Understanding the reason for the role of the state in the financing, supply and regulation of health services;

To be able to discuss the financing methods of public health services;

To be able to comprehend the cost benefit analysis method in the provision of public health services and to draw conclusions;
