11 Prerequisites: DHF 203 Prosthodontics I Students are required to successfully complete and submit the announced homework within the given time. Students are required to compensate for their missing practical work on specified days and hours. A student who does not fulfill this obligation cannot take the final exam of that course and is considered to have zero marks from that course exam. If the student does not complete the practical works that are missing in the compensation period determined before the condition exam; he / she is not entitled to take the condition exam and he / she is considered to have received zero marks from that course exam.

19 Objective of the Course: To teach the general approach, working principles and construction stages of prosthetic restoration in total edentulous mouth, partially edentulous mouth and teeth with material loss.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development To have basic and up-to-date knowledge of the clinical and technical sciences required by the dentistry profession, to use the tools to provide oral and dental health required by the profession
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To define and apply terminology, indications and functions for full and removable partial dentures;
2 To apply the clinical and laboratory stages, respectively, in the production of full and removable partial dentures;
3 To list the structural elements of complete and removable partial dentures;
4 To acquire knowledge of terminology and classification for fixed prostheses;
5 To learn the clinical and laboratory stages of single metal supported porcelain crown;

Theoretical Practical
Introduction to Complete Dentures / Objectives of Prosthetic Treatment / Mouth preparation before prosthesis
Impression methods in total prostheses, obtaining a model
Personal spoon, edge shaping, boxing
Base Materials and Plate Preparation
Wax Wall (horizontal-vertical relationships) and articulators
Records in complete dentures (Horizontal-vertical relations, eccentric registers)
Tooth selection and tooth alignment (anterior and posterior) in complete dentures
Curing and acrylic injection in full dentures
Finishing of dentures, Herbst tests
Problems encountered in complete dentures, feeding, base change, repair
Factors affecting retention in complete dentures
Occlusion terms and concepts, occlusion types in natural teeth
Movement directions of the mandible and guide systems
Introduction to Partial Dentures (Definition, Purposes, Classification of edentulous arches) and mouth preparation

Measurement and Evaluation Techniques Used in the Course Theoretical and practical exam
Information Midterm exams will only be held in the form of theoretical, final exams, theoretical and practical exams. The practice exam is a threshold. A student who is not successful in this exam cannot take the theoretical exam and is considered unsuccessful in that course. Year-end success grade; It is calculated by taking 50% of the practical exam grade and 50% of the theoretical exam grade.
