19 Objective of the Course: This course aims to enable students to gain knowledge about; the introduction of developmental psychology (history, issues), the grand theories and stage theories, research methods, the biological foundations of life-span development, the sensational/perceptual, cognitive, socio-emotional processes of certain life stages and the contextual issues (culture, family, school, occupation) that is related to the human-being.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development You will gain knowledge on children, adolescence and adulthood cognitive, physical and social development.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Explains the historical background of developmental psychology; describes the main processes, stages and issues of human development, defines the major theories and research methods.;
2 Explain prenatal development and birth processes; by providing examples of nature-nurture interactions as the causes of individual differences.;
3 Describe detailed knowledge of the learning, remembering and conceptualizing processes of individuals in the early stages of life. ;
