Objective of the Course:
In this lesson; General characteristics of Turkey's human geography; Population growth and population policies in Turkey, characteristics of Türkiye's population; internal and external migrations; population density and distribution; Historical development of settlement in Turkey; rural settlements; distribution of cities and urban impact area, problems of cities; General characteristics of Türkiye's economic geography; Agriculture, animal husbandry, forestry, industry and distribution in Turkey; Transportation and trade in Turkey and tourism in Turkey are discussed.

To understand Turkey's geographical features, demographic and cultural structure, economic, political, commercial and natural resources potential.

Learning Outcomes:

Explains the changes in the population size and structure of Turkey according to censuses using maps.;

Explains the distribution characteristics of the population and population movements in Turkey using maps.;

Evaluates the development characteristics of the settlement in Turkey in the historical process using maps.;

It evaluates the problems arising from settlement in Turkey and their solutions.;

Explains the general characteristics and development of agriculture in Turkey and the classification of agricultural areas.;

Makes an evaluation using a map on the current situation and problems in the production and marketing of plant products in Turkish agriculture.;

Explains the current situation of animal husbandry in Turkey, its changes over time, and the situation and problems in animal product production.;

Explains Turkey's mining potential, current situation and problems using maps.;

Makes inferences on Turkey's tourism and trade potential.;
