19 Objective of the Course: To provide students with basic knowledge and skills about geopolitics, global political problems and basic political concepts.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development To raise citizens who are sensitive, informed and conscious about global political developments, regional conflicts and political problems.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Basic concepts such as politics, politics, political philosophy, political geography will be comprehended.;
2 The relationship between geography and politics, the impact of geography on politics will be comprehended.;
3 The emergence and development of political geography. To have information about Politische Geographie-Friedrich Ratzel.;
4 To have knowledge about the subject and field of study of political geography.;
5 Organizations in political geography. State, nation and national state and non-state actors etc. will be comprehended in terms of their functions in today's political geography. ;
6 Students will be informed about the types of states according to different criteria.;
7 The shape of the state territory, the effects of the geographical elements on the structure, ideology and power of the state will be comprehended. Geopolitical theories and their effects on international politics will be comprehended.;
8 The effects of human factors such as population, culture, social structure, economy, information and technology on the structure, ideology and power of the state will be comprehended.;
9 Power centers and power struggles in the world, conflict zones in the world, political borders and border conflicts will be comprehended. ;
