19 Objective of the Course: Constitution, constitutional concepts, institutions and rules, process in our country before the 1982 Constitution and to learn about the constitutional order and the constitutional position and foundations of social policies according to the 1982 Constitution of our country. To know about functions, aims, values of constitutions and thus complying with the fundamental rules of the law. To prepare students towards assessment and evaluation in professions where they can use their knowledge of the constitution.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development The student will have information about the basic concepts of constitutional law and fundamental rights and freedoms and protection of them.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To obtain knowledge on Constitutional Law and Constitutions which were previously been in operation in Turkey as well as on the current 1982 Constitution.;
2 To learn about the functions of constitutions and their contribution to the construction of the societal order.;
3 To learn about the constitutions’ role in guaranteeing the basic human rights and freedoms and to gain knowledge on Constitutionalism Movement. ;
4 To gain knowledge on State and the form of State as defined in the current Turkish Constitution. ;
5 To learn about the Turkish Republic’s basic features through an evaluation of these features as presented in the current Turkish Constitution.;
6 To have knowledge on Constitutional rules regarding the institutional structure of and the operational processes about the basic state organs of legislation, execution and justice. ;
7 To have the necessary repertoire to be able to comment on the 1982 Constitution in a way to democratize it in accordance with the requirements of the Turkish society.;
8 To be able to equip with the necessary measurement and evaluation techniques which are thought to contribute to one’s professional life.;
