19 Objective of the Course: To teach students the concept of emergency and disaster, the importance of disaster,disaster types,measures to be taken against disasters,disaster management,the effects of disasters on public health,prevention of hazards that will create risks before, during and after the disaster, reducing the damage of the disaster management process, To teach the stages of preparation, intervention and improvement. In addition, to provide planning and preparation with his family against any disaster and emergency that may be experienced. To gain knowledge about his duties and responsibilities by taking an active role in disaster preparations as a member of the society
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development to be beneficial to the institution and society by taking part in the working groups formed for disaster and emergency situations in the institutions where they will work
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To be able to define the concept, epidemiology, importance and classification of disaster and emergency;
2 To be able to explain the physical, mental and social effects of the disaster on the individual, family and society.;
3 To be able to discuss the disaster management cycle and the activities to be done in this process;
4 Being able to discuss what needs to be done in the event of a disaster as a member of the society;
