19 Objective of the Course: The main objective of this course is to introduce the students to some of the main problems and thinkers in post-structuralist philosophy.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development learns poststructuralist thinking and different ways of thinking
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Student gains an understanding the general features of what is called ‘post-structuralism’.;
2 Student gains an understanding the philosophical concerns that have given rise to the post-structuralist thought.;
3 Student gains an understanding the problematics and concepts central to the thinking of each post-structuralist philosopher.;
4 Student gains an understanding of the ways in which poststructuralist style of reading the texts relate to pertinent social, historical, intellectual, and theoretical contexts.;
5 Students recognize and understand how the poststructuralist approach is applied to history and other academic disciplines.;
6 Ability in highly critical thinking skills is gained.;
7 Student gains ability to grasp and analyze central themes in contemporary philosophy.;
8 Student recognize and understand how poststructuralist thinkers apply radical hermeneutical and deconstructive reading on religious texts.;
9 Students extend as well as deepen the philosophical knowledge acquired in previous philosophy courses.;
10 Student gains ability to understand and discuss the contemporary ethical and political concepts such as identitiy and difference, totality, otherness and ontological imperialism, etc.;
