19 Objective of the Course: To ensure that the development of geopolitical discipline from its emergence to the present day, its basic concepts and main approaches.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development Will be able to analyze the development of the discipline of geopolitics, its basic concepts and main approaches, the relationship between geopolitical theories and the functioning of politics between countries.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To be able to analyze geopolitics, the relations between geography and political geography, the impact of geography on politics and geopolitics, by having knowledge of basic concepts such as geopolitics, geostrategy, strategy, and political geography. Understanding the geopolitical-space and spatial practice.;
2 To comprehend the subject, field of study, principles, methods, geopolitical actors of geopolitics.;
3 To comprehend the geopolitical views belonging to different sources that concern the development of geopolitics and the world political order.;
4 To comprehend the characteristics of the geopolitical structuring of the world, its periods and the classification of the world system.;
5 To comprehend the New World system, the Critical Geopolitical approach and its philosophical infrastructure.;
6 To have knowledge about the Critical Geopolitical approach and its application-Formal-Practical-Popular Geopolitics.;

1 Basic concepts such as geopolitics, geostrategy, strategy, political geography.
2 Relations between geopolitics, geography and political geography, the impact of geography on politics and geopolitics. Geopolitics-space and spatial practice.
3 The emergence and development of geopolitics. Staten som lifsform- Rudolf Kjellén.
4 Subject of geopolitics, study area, principles, methods, actors in geopolitics.
5 Geopolitical thoughts and theories of ancient and medieval ages
6 Classical geopolitics: Between the second half of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century. Views of western geopolitical schools.
7 Geopolitical Views of Western Origin in World War II and After
8 Turkish and Russian Originated Geopolitical Views
9 Geopolitical theories and their impact on international politics
10 Characteristics of the Geopolitical Structure of the World and Classification of the World System
