19 Objective of the Course: This course provides students that make scientific research, browse the bibliography, various research, plan or make suggestions for the thesis. Result of this course Students will learned ways to obtain scientific knowledge and data collection and they will be prepared for postgraduate education.

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 Uses the library and the Internet to collect data within the scope of the research techniques.;
2 Gains the ability to apply scientific research methods.;
3 Gains the ability to use of footnotes and reference in scientific texts. ;
4 Understands the importance of research ethics and the unique challenges of scientific research. ;
5 Completes the phases of scientific research in writing an essay or thesis.;
6 Establishes relations between Methods of Theorical Research and other courses.;
7 Comprehends how to resolve a scientific article and writing.;
8 Gains the awareness on using title.in scientific texts ;
22 Course Content:
Week Theoretical Practical
1 Basic Concepts of Theoretical Research Methods; What is science?, Characteristics of science, Scientists, Features of Scholar, Method of scientific thinking
2 Types of research and research data; Basic and Applied Research, Natural Environment Research and Laboratory Research, Classification in Terms of Causality (Experimental Research, Introductory Studies) (analysis of the scientific article).
3 Classification in Terms of Causality(Field Studies, Supportive and Exploratory Researches) Techniques of Data Collection, Data Processing (analysis of the scientific article).
4 How to Scientific Research?; Subject Selection, Determining the borders of the subject, Creating the thesis of research, Determination of the research method, Preparation of the Outline Plan, Preparation of Provisional Bibliography. (analysis of the scientific article).
5 How to Scientific Research?; Taking Notes, Data Processing and Review of Thesis, Writing report, Intellectual Property Rights Protection (analysis of the scientific article).
6 Use of the libraries, Library Types, Classification Systems at Libraries, Library Catalogs, Books Cards, computerized cataloging systems, Libraries and Periodicals, Article Indexes and Special Collections

8 Use of libraries; Reference Books (Bibliography, Printed Library Catalogs, Periodicals, Statistics, Legislation, Encyclopedias and Dictionaries, Biography Dictionaries, Thesis and Seminars)
9 Referencing in Printed Publications: Traditional Footnote Method; Information Why are referred to which, Reference Application Method in footnote, Footnote Writing Rules, Latin Based Application System, Examples of special footnote, Writing bibliographies in the system of referencing in footnote. Style of writing bibliographies in footnote system.
