19 Objective of the Course: The course aims to provide the students with a theoretical perspective regarding public policy. In order to enhance this perspective the course is designed in a way to make students realize the different processes of public policy including policy making, implementation and evaluation processes and the determinant actors of these processes.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development Students learn about the concept of public policy and the analysis and decision-making processes of public policies.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To gain a conceptual understanding of public policy. ;
2 To learn the definition and main characteristics of the public policy procesess. ;
3 To grasp the need for public policy.;
4 To have a basic knowledge on all the actors that take part in the public policy processes.;
5 To be able to evaluate the reasons behind the emergence of problems related with public policy processes. ;
6 To learn the main processes of public policy including policy making, policy implementation and policy evaluation.;
7 To be able to comment on the failures of public policy from a broad perspective. ;
8 To gain knowledge on the decision-making and policy analysis models in public policy.;
