19 Objective of the Course: The aim of this course to help students learning principles and functions of operating systems, installing and operating linux operating system, comparing linux and other operating systems, learning usage of operating systems for educational purposes.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development It is the most basic software that is indispensable for the computer system. It is a fundamental structure for the development and management of all other software.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To be able to know definition of operating system.;
2 To be able to know layers of operating system.;
3 To be able to understand relationship between operating system and process/processors.;
4 To be able to understand memory management;
5 Operating systems and be aware of differences.;
6 To work with Windows;
7 To work with Mobile Operating System;

9 Manage the operating system.;

Measurement and Evaluation Techniques Used in the Course - Multiple choice testing, relative evaluation system evaluation in automation system
Information - Midterm Exam: An exam held online, on the UKEY teaching management platform, from a bank of 150 multiple-choice test format, with 25 randomly selected questions. Final Exams and Make-up Exams: An exam held online, on the UKEY teaching management platform, with 25 randomly selected questions from a bank of 150 multiple-choice tests. Evaluation: The issue of Information Technologies is evaluated as absolute / relative based on Bursa Uludağ University Associate Degree-Undergraduate Regulations in line with the decisions of the academic board.
