19 Objective of the Course: To define the basic concepts related to archeology, reveals excavation methods, archeology of Turkey and by addressing the development process worldwide Paleolithic epoch Iron Age is to get to know the civilizations around the culture of the civilization that lived in Anatolia until the end.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development Gains knowledge of archaeological sites in the tourist guide profession.

1 Evaluate general concepts and working methods in archeology, ;
2 Can interpret the development of archeology, ;
3 Evaluate Anatolian chronology, ;
4 Describes the cultural and political development of the periods within the scope of archaeological data (architecture, works of art) at a basic level. ;

1 Definition of archeology, and working methods
2 Explanation of general concepts related to archeology
3 The development in the history of archeology in the world and Turkey
4 Anatolian chronology and introduction to Anatolian Archeology
5 Introduction of the cultural and religious structure of the period according to the characteristics of the Paleolithic Period and material culture data
6 Neolithic period features, the reasons that prepared the period and the introduction of the cultural and religious structure of the settlement centers of the period according to material culture data
7 Introduction of the cultural and religious structure of settlements belonging to the periods according to Chalcolithic and Early Bronze Period characteristics and material culture data
8 Introduction of the settlement centers, cultural and religious structure of the period according to the characteristics and material culture data of the Early Bronze Period and the effects of the developments in Mesopotamia (continued)
9 Introducing the characteristics of the Middle Bronze Age and the Assyrian Trade Colonies Period with settlement centers and archaeological data
10 Introducing the features of the Late Bronze Age and the Hittite Period with settlement centers and archaeological data
11 The collapse of the Hittite Empire, the reasons that prepared the end of the Late Bronze Age and the Introduction to the Iron Age

Measurement and Evaluation Techniques Used in the Course For the assessment and evaluation of the course, 1 midterm and 1 final exam are held. The effect of midterm exam on the raw success grade of the semester / year is 40% in total, and the effect of the semester / year-end exam on the raw success grade is 60%.
Information Results are determined by the letter grade determined by the relative evaluation system.
