19 Objective of the Course: The curriculum aims at instructing students in Avicenna’s philosophy (as the most important muslim philosopher) and its influence on the Muslim and Western thouhgt,
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development The student will learn about the details of Ibn Sina's philosophy and its effect on the history of thought.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To have knowledge of the most important philosophical activity in the classical age of Islamic thought.;
2 To analyze a religious subject philosophically.;
3 To determine the influence of Greek thought in Islamic thought.;
4 To examine specific and common subjects of schools of thought in Islam.;
5 To have knowledge of the elements of Avicenna’s philosophy.;
6 To comprehend the history of Islamic science.;
7 To examine the content of Islamic thought after Avicenna;
8 Avicennist;
9 To analyze Avicennism in Western thought.;
10 To compare Contemporary Islamic thought to classical Islamic thought ;
