19 Objective of the Course: Aim of the course is to explain the scope of the health economy, the causes of market failure, the characteristics of health services and health markets, to examine the role and importance of the state in health services, to analyze the effects of globalization on health services by addressing the delivery and financing methods of health services.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development It has a contribution towards forming a basis for the development of students' professional skills related to health services and financing
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To be able to comprehend the scope of health economy, causes of market failure, properties of health services and health markets;;
2 To be able to explain the role of the state in the supply, regulation and financing of health services;;
3 Having basic information about the classification of health services;;
4 To be able to analyze demand and supply in health services;;
5 To compare the delivery methods of health services;;
6 To be able to comprehend evaluation and efficiency methods in health services;;
7 To be able to explain the financing methods of health services;;
8 To be able to interpret the reasons of handling health services as global public goods;;
9 To be able to produce alternative solutions to problems by analyzing the effects of globalization on health services.;
