19 Objective of the Course: To provide the students with the basic knowledge about crimes and penalties, different types of penalties and crimes and other types of sanctions. In line with this main course objective, to enable students to execute their professional tasks in accordance with the rules of law and to utilize their legal rights, if there are any, in case of a criminal situation which ensures the fulfillment of their responsibities in its best possible way.
20 Contribution of the Course to Professional Development The student will have information about the basic concepts of criminal law.
21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To learn the contemporary meaning and dimensions of Criminal Law and the concepts of crime and penalty.;
2 To have the skills to perform their public service duties without violating the law. ;
3 To gain knowledge on the concept of crime, the elements of crime and on the conditions of irresponsibility. ;
4 To learn about the sanctions within the scope of Criminal Law and the sanctions’ relationship with human rights in order to enable their execution in a humanly way. ;
5 To be equipped with the skills to investigate the crimes claimed to be committed by public officers in a proper and detailed way.;
6 To be able to evaluate the distinctions between crime and other unjust acts. ;
