19 Objective of the Course: The students will be; obtain general information about plant viruses and explain the characteristics of plant viruses, identification and control methods in the plants.

1 To explain the historical developments of plant virology;
2 To obtain general information about plant viruses;
3 To define the differences between plant viruses and other plant pathogens;
4 To know taxonomy of plant pathogenic viruses;
5 To explain the ways of spreading for plant pathogenic viruses;
6 To apply diagnostic methods for some of the important plant pathogen for viruses;
7 To grasp the biology of viruses and their ecology;
8 To explain the control methods of plant pathogenic viruses;
