19 Objective of the Course: Main purpose of the course is to evaluate the political events, ideologic confrontations and alliences after world war II. The course also aims to define the centralizing powers of Europe, USA, Middle East and Asia.

21 Learning Outcomes:
1 To be able to grasp the historical roots of political balance of powers in contemporary world. ;
2 To be able to explain political, economic and ideologic reasons of wars. ;
3 To be able to grasp the nature relationship between western and non western world ;
4 To be able to interpret european and uas’s policy on Middle East and Turkey;
5 To be able to evaluate the ideologic strugle between two blocks;
6 To be able to grasp the place and importance of Turkey in global politics after the world war II.;
7 To be able to explain some important terms such as cold war, big chess table.;
8 To be able to make assumptions about forthcoming global events;

2 U.S.S.R and area of diffusion of communism
3 Emergence of fascism in Italy an Germany
4 World on the eve of the second world war
5 Rise of China and and Japon in the East and their strugle of supremacy
6 World war II and its results.
7 Foundation of Israel in the Middle East.
8 Evaluation of Arab-Israeli wars.
9 Cold war period: Russian colonialism and USA.
10 Foundation of NATO.
11 American expansion and the wars of Korea and Vietnam.
12 Collapse of the Soviets and world with a one political center
13 Process of foundation of European Union
